Premium rate phone services in the UK are regulated by Ofcom. You don't need to know the rulebook, but knowing the basics tells you which lines to trust.
You must be 18 or over
Adult chat is for adults only. Every site and every call makes this clear, and the women on the lines will end a call if they have any doubt.
You must be the bill payer, or have permission
The call is charged to the phone it's made from, so you need to be the person who pays that bill or have their permission to call.
The price must be clear
The cost has to be shown next to the number, not hidden in small print at the bottom of the page, and it has to be read out at the start of the call. That's why every number on this site has its price right underneath it.
You must be told who runs it
Every service has to name the company behind it and give a UK helpline number. Ours is at the bottom of every page.
Calls are recorded
Live calls are recorded to comply with Ofcom regulations. It protects everyone on the call.
It's fantasy, with no meeting
Adult chat lines are entertainment. A line must never suggest you can meet the person you're talking to, and ours never will.
Marketing messages
If you get promotional texts after using a service, you can stop them by replying STOP or following the opt-out instructions in the message.
If something goes wrong
Call the helpline first. Most problems, like a call that dropped or a charge you don't recognise, are sorted there. If you're still not happy, Ofcom can tell you what to do next.
